A way for me to explore the camera I have and the world around me.

I was visiting Okanagan and we were going through one of the many wine cellars and wine shops in the area. This photo was completely by luck. Had I not looked up, I would've never seen this. The bright ray of light going upwards, with little to no light spilling to the other sides made it look very contrasting. It almost looked as though the light was fighting to get inside the wine cellar, but the darkness was keeping it at bay.

This photo was taken when I went to Cambodia to see the many unique temples they had. We went to one of the temples during sunset and we got up to a vantage point where the lion statues were. This angle made it seem as though the lions were staring at the sunset. It was very calming to just watch the sun set in a temple without having to worry about any homework, or exams, or anything else.

This photo was taken in Dubai when I had gone on a helicopter trip around UAE. The size difference between the Burj Al Arab and the other buildings that we could see was so extreme. This really put into perspective how large the hotel really was. The buildings at the bottom are 5-7 stories tall already, and this building was towering over all of those. It also made me wonder at the marvel that is our world and society. It made me think of all the challenges and breakthroughs associated with building a building at such scale.

When I was flying to some country for a summer holiday, I looked out the window and saw the overcast day in Hong Kong. The colours of the plane's wing were really similar to the colours of the surroundings at the time. Having both nature and technology being similar in some ways really calmed me in some way as they really harmonised together.

This photo of Vancouver from above really made me think about humanity as a whole in a different perspective. We always like to focus on the small things, the day-to-day, or current events. But sometimes, it's nice to zoom out and look at the other things. For example, in this photo, I marvel at the engineering and the city planning and the construction of the entire city.
